Permissions
Docxify requests a permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can revoke any of them in Android Settings → Apps → Docxify → Permissions.
Requested when needed
- Camera: scanner, ID card and passport photo capture. Pictures stay in the app until you save or share them.
- Notifications (Android 13+): tells you when a folder automation has processed new files.
- Biometrics / fingerprint: only if you turn on App lock.
- Storage write (Android 8 and 9 only): saving results to Downloads. Newer Android versions need no storage permission; files are opened through the system picker.
Granted automatically
- Internet and network state: ads on the free plan, Google Play purchases, ML model downloads, in-app updates, and AI tools you configure.
- Foreground service and wake lock: keeps long conversions and folder automations running when the screen turns off.
- Advertising ID and Android ad services: used by Google AdMob on the free plan only. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
- Billing: Google Play purchases for Pro.
Not requested
- Contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone, precise location and "All files access" are not requested.
